"Wish Granted" is a comic script.
Page One
Panel one. A young boy, SEAN, sleeps with a grimace on his face. He is having a nightmare.
Sean: Urrgh!
Panel two. Sean is on an operating table. An alien points at him and his abdomen begins to bulge.
Panel three. Same scene, accept the alien points and a small blob of grey matter hoovers over the boy.
Panel four. The grey matter floats near a bigger pile of grey matter.
Panel five. An alien shapes the grey matter into a ball.
Panel six. The ball grows into the size of a human.
Panel seven. Sean sits up in bed with a wide-eyed stare. He is drenched in sweat.
Page Two
Panel one. Sean and his mother are stopped at a red light. Sean sits in the back seat with a frown on his face. His mother smiles as she holds a brochure. that reads,
Panel two. A close-up of the brochure reads, “Wel
come to Newark, NJ, your new home”.
Panel three. The car drives to the entrance of “Freedom Park” and is blocked by a shape shifting statue made of indescribable material.
Panel four. Close-up of the statue as it takes a deep breath. It looks like a sea of stars, may
be even a whole galaxy.
Panel five. Long shot of statue as passersby gawk and some people stand close by.
Panel six. Sean and his mother stand at a distance, just outside the car.
Panel seven. A woman stands close to the statue as it shifts and pulsates.
Panel eight. A man stands next to the statue, and it shape shifts into an urn that reads, “Rest in Peace, Joe”.
Page Three
Panel one. Sean’s mother holds onto his shirt as he tries to run toward the statue.
Panel two. Sean’s mother reaches out toward her son, who has made his way to the statue.
Panel three. Face to face with the statue, Sean stares in wonder. The statue has shape shifted in a bus ticket that reads, “Charlotte, NC”.
Panel four. A Greyhound bus narrowly misses hitting Sean’s mother.
Panel five. Three aliens investigate a floating monitor and are pleased with themselves. The monitor shows Sean and his mother as passengers on a bus.
Panel six. Close-up of the front of the bus reads, “Charlotte, NC”.
